My mistake

Dear Mom,
I'm sorry for my poor spelling. Now I know and I'm thankful to have you as the human dictionary.

So to everyone else...

In my previous post, my first word was
"ALRIGHT"
That's wrong.
According to the Oxford Dictionary, the correct word is
"ALL RIGHT"
Who knew? 2 words.
Not me.
*Dad disagreed so he looked it up online and "alright" is now accepted in the dictionary but is called a "non-standard" word. Vic thinks it looks uneducated.
**These are the type of conversations you have when you're 23 and still live with your parents.

This brought me good news of great joy...and I bet the odds are good that yall would have still had the conversation even if you didn't live there.

every child who was ever on any class list of mine knows that it is either "all wrong" or it is "all right"....two words. Every year i included "all right" on a spelling test at some point during the year. I never did that that i din not have to have several conversations with parents who did not know it was two words,... so i did my part to educate the masses with this info. I, like your mother, think it looks unlearned to write it as one word. Thank goodness you now know. you can be one of the learned......like me.

you must also know that there is only one "l" in "always". I also included "always" as a spelling word too. Man, I loved to teach. Honestly, I do believe those were my most fulfilling times...when I had a class full of little students who loved to learn....because I loved to teach...honestly I loved to teach things like " all right". also, "there/their" , "meat/meet", "deer/dear", "to/too/two"...oh, those were the days.....
