How often will I get the chance to teach 120 kids from 14 different countries throughout Europe?! (Not that I had all 120...) There were definitely some trying times at the camp and difficult campers. But what can you expect with 120 teenagers?! No doubt that the good outweighed the bad! During my journalism classes I was able to see kids who have great writing skills in a language other than their native one. I, and my seven other PCV teacher friends, were incredibly impressed. This was a stellar group of kids with tremendous talent. I expect to be hearing, seeing or reading some of their names within the next few years. Check out the blog - and their work - here!
For the first time in a while I was busy from morning to night. We'd wake up around 7am and not go sleep until 12am or so. I was tired a lot but the time spent with the students and my PCV friends made it incredibly worthwhile!
Suffice to say, I was speaking only English the last 3.5 weeks so my Bulgarian... well, I've got the folklore group tonight so we'll see if I can get any words out.
So, thank you Peace Corps for allowing us to work at the AUBG International Educational Summer Camp and to the students who made it great!

Wow, what a great experience for you and the kids! I do hope you haven't peaked however. I'm sure the folklore group will help you get back in the groove!
