what's up

Alright, not much going on but I know how my peeps are just dying to hear from me.

Bulgaria is less than THREE months away now. May 19th is the day I get outta here. Actually, I'll fly to a city in the US for a couple of days and go through orientation, meet my group, get my new ID/Passport, etc. THEN, I'll make my way to BG. (This countdown seems like it should be going for a wedding or a baby... not for the Peace Corps. But hey, I definitely pick PC over marriage or a baby - for now, of course.)

School is still good. I'm lovin' working with the little ones. Definitely some obnoxious parents/kids but the cute ones even it out.

I (along with my dad) purchased a new laptop. Sweet little thing. Nothing too fancy but it's durable and has a webcam. And that SD slot so I can just put my picture card right in there instead of getting out the cord. I like that.

Cather's been in town this weekend. I've pretty much been with her nonstop since Friday. Good thing I like her! :)This picture is obviously at the local Goode hangout. AKA El Fenix. AKA My favorite Mexican food EVER.

I'm heading to NYC with my mom in a few weeks for Spring Break. Definitely pumped.

This coming weekend is the "Brian & Carrie finally moved back to Texas" party that I'm hosting. I think there's going to be a good turnout and I'm so excited for the ACU reunion that it will be! Especially since I didn't go to Sing Song.

The new preacher, Gordon Dabbs, started at Prestoncrest a few weeks ago. I'm diggin' him so far.

Last week in Bible class we were talking about Ecclesiastes. So I just read through the whole - very short - book. I liked this verse from the Message. (11:9)
"You who are young, make the most of your youth.
Relish your youthful vigor.
Follow the impulses of your heart.
If something looks good to you, pursue it.
But know also that not just anything goes;
You have to answer to God for every last bit of it."

So that's what's up.

I was thinking, "I have never seen that background at El Fenix," and then I thought, "Oops, I believe I took that picture...oh, THAT wall!"

Thanks for taking the time to post your comings and goings. It helps the weaker among us to remember what's going on in VeevsieLand, and you didn't even mention your adventures in Bulgarian Church!
