A terrible example in a Bulgarian textbook.

During my Bulgarian lesson the following was an example in my textbook.  It just seemed like an example to share.

Тя е на 25 години! Време е вече да cе ожени.

Which translates into:
She is 25 years old! It's time she got married.

Don't worry though, I'm 25 and happily UNmarried. :)

Hullllarious!! Did you laugh out loud when you read that? How in the world did your language teacher justify that one to you?

Oh, Veeves, life is so much better now! They used to say that about the 17 year olds...and more recently, as it were, they probably said it about the 30 year olds, but at least not to my face!!

Yikes - I'd hate to think what the Bulgarian textbook writers would think of me!
