Pray for Veeves

Valerie had boarded her plane and will shortly be leaving for Frankfurt, Germany and then on to Sofia, Bulgaria where she will spend her next 27 months serving the people there. We are so proud of all that she has accomplished so far and all that she will continue to do as we all look forward to what the Lord has in store for her.

Valerie, we pray for your safety as well as the 68 other Peace Corp representatives that are traveling with you. We pray that the Lord uses your hands in ways that you have never imagined. We pray that the language will come easily and that your transition will be smooth. You are a strong woman with a precious heart! We can not wait to see the pictures and hear the stories of the people you are interacting with.

We miss you so much all ready but feel confident in what you are doing and who you are to become! We love you VEEVES!!!

Catherine & the rest of the Goode clan!

so Veeves, it's 7:24 PM Sat. night where you are. Tomorrow you meet your host family. I pray blessings on all of them. Hope your week one has gone so well! And I hope your hosts have internet service so you can read and write on your blog!! So just in case, we love you and pray for you and for your success in learning the language as well as being enriched by the culture. If we don't hear from you tomorrow, we will wait patiently, but trust me, we can hardly wait!! Lylaf!

Valerie called today!! Not via the internet, but thru the grace of her host family, who have a son in Chicago, so they sensed how much she needed to talk to "home." Things are going well, pretty intense, but she is learning a smidge of Bulgarian. Know how to say Valerie in B? Well, its Valeria!! She also told me how to say thank you, which begins with "blog," but then adds a few syllables. I can hardly wait for call #2, not to mention the ability to read the blogs and emails she has already saved on her computer!
