Because everyone loves carbs

Everybody's getting ready for winter. This is one of the reasons I'm thankful I live with a family...

Potatoes pulled from the garden. If you're not a fan of carbs, Bulgaria is probably not the best place for you.

There are SO many beans outside... and all along the streets of the entire village.

Nadia and Maria (who live upstairs) in their matching jackets. So cute! And Maria's shirt actually says "Texas" on it. The shirt doesn't really make sense but if you look close you can see it!

I might be in the Peace Corps but that doesn't mean my small village doesn't have a beauty salon. Super cheap manicures! I'm just doing my part to stimulate the economy.

Other news... New Years 2010 plan is in the works. Hello, Switzerland!

That manicure is great...can't believe the detail of that design!

I am glad the farmers are planning on sustaining you thru the winter. If you are really getting into the carb life, I would be pleased tosend the Friendship bread recipe...though the Bulgarians undoubtedly have a version of their own...

haha I love that you get your nails done! I just received my nomination for the PC and one of my friends asked me if i'll survive without my bag of nail polishes. I guess i'll have to live vicariously through you knowing that you didn't have to give nail polish up!
